Is there such a thing as too many angels? In my opinion, YES! The iconic Victoria's Secret "Angel" supermodels was once a very exclusive list of the top models in the fashion industry. This doesn't seem to be the case now days.
Victoria's Secret recently announced there new Angels (yes more than one) along with their recent cast of supermodels. Alongside, Adriana Lima, Heidi Klum, Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, Marisa Miller, Doutzen Kroes, and Behati Prinsloo, a new group of angels, Candice Swanepoel, Rosie Huntington, and Lindsay Ellingson join the group. Making it ten angels in total, which is the highest number of supermodels signed with Victoria's Secret at one time.
It seems as if these new angels,(especially Candice and Rosie) are being used more than the other Angels. This over-exposure has caused VS fans to have a negative reaction towards the new angels. As a huge VS holic myself, i'm honestly sick of seeing Candice and Rosie on every VS campaign out there. If there are ten angels, why only use two? Though I do have to say that I am a big fan of Lindsay Ellingson.
Lindsay is an all american girl who has been very successful in the high fashion industry. She has worked for designers such as Marc Jacobs, Oscar de la Renta, John Galliano, Christian Dior, Karl Lagerfeld, just to name a few. She has been working with Victorias Secret since 2007, so i definitely think she has paid her dues. Though, her high fashion appeal doesn't transition that well to VS, I hope to see her continue to do great things for the company.
With all these new Angels, one would think "Who is going to get kicked off?" Only time will tell.
Which new Angel is your favorite?
Candice, Rosie, and Lindsay
